When I try to dial up, I keep on getting either an operator coming over the speaker and/or an "Error 676: The Line is Busy". What could be the problem? There are actually a couple things that could cause this particular problem. 1) Does your local area require 10-digit dialing? Is so, make sure the area code is entered into your dialup settings. 2) Do you require any special number to access an outside line? If so, make sure that number is entered in your dialup settings. This is a more prominent problem in business and scholastic locations which use their own phone systems as opposed to a home user. 3) In your dialup settings, make sure that you do not have "Use Area Code and Dialing Properties checked. The Windows dialing properties can cause this problem if they are misconfigured. 4) Can you dial the access number from a regular voice phone? If not, contact Technical Support. If we can't get it either, then there is an issue we need to address. If we can get it, it is likely a local routing issue to our number from your local telephone company which they will need to be made aware of. |
